"VBS," as it's known in Southern California, is the center of San Fernando Valley judiasm, the biggest temple in the Valley, a large, sprawling complex with a wonderful collection of stained glass murals. VBS has, by our count, 14 stained glass masterpieces, including ten on the outside of the building, and four on the inside. The above bar & bat mitzvah teens were photographed in front of the "Sh'ma," window, which was designed by the artists David and Michelle Plachte-Zuieback.
